1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly: your name, email address, CV/resume content, job preferences, and answers to application questions (your “Truth Bank”). We also collect usage data such as application history, success rates, and feature interactions.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your data is used to: automate job applications on your behalf, tailor CVs and cover letters using AI, answer application form questions, track application outcomes, and improve our service. We never sell your personal data to third parties.
3. AI Processing
Your CV and job description data are processed by AI language models (Anthropic Claude and fallback providers) to generate tailored content. This processing is transient; AI providers do not retain your data after processing. We apply input sanitization to protect your content during AI processing.
4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored in encrypted PostgreSQL databases. We use industry standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, authentication via OAuth 2.0 (Google) and magic links, and role scoped access controls. Browser automation sessions are ephemeral and cleaned up after each application.
5. Data Sharing
We share your data only as necessary to provide the service: with job application platforms (when submitting applications on your behalf), payment processors (Stripe, for billing), and AI providers (for content generation). We do not share your data for advertising or marketing purposes.
6. Your Rights (GDPR)
You have the right to: access your personal data, rectify inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, export your data in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, visit your account settings or contact us at privacy@wani.app.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Application history is retained for 12 months. When you delete your account, all personal data is permanently removed within 30 days. Anonymized usage statistics may be retained for analytics.
8. Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies from anyone else.
